Title: Administrative Assistant
Department / Facility: Family Medicine - Hoover
Tenure: 12 years
I stand for MAKING A DIFFERENCE and TEAMWORK
MAKING A DIFFERENCE: I enjoy working with such an incredible team of physicians and staff in Stanford Family Medicine. I find that we all work together to make patient visits a pleasant experience for everyone. The physicians and staff I work with are compassionate, caring, and “go the extra mile”, so working with them to ensure that quality patient care is being given helps to make a difference.
TEAMWORK: I enjoy working with the dynamic team of professionals in my department. I like to step in and help others, just as they help me to accomplish goals in a timely manner. In our clinic, everyone works together to make things run smoothly.
What brought you to Stanford?
I have been a patient at Stanford, and was so impressed with Stanford 12 years ago that I knew it was the place I wanted to work. The care at Stanford is superior to other hospitals where I had worked in the past. I am always recommending that my family and friends come to Stanford for their care. They have never been disappointed!
What do you enjoy most about working at Stanford?
The people I work with and meet at Stanford. I was given the opportunity to work with the Employee Events Committee eight years ago, and have enjoyed participating in coordinating events for our employees. I have been the coordinator of the Stanford Hospital/Packard Golf Tournament for the past 8 years. I also established the Discount Theatre ticket program, which I have coordinated for the past 8 years. There are wonderful employee benefits.
What would you tell someone considering employment at Stanford?
It’s a great place to work. The benefits are wonderful, and the atmosphere can’t be beat. We are on the cutting edge of new technology, and it is great to be a part of these innovations.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy or what is it about you personally that makes you a valuable member of the Stanford team?
I like to walk, travel with my husband, spend time with my children and grandchildren, cook and bake, as well as entertain. I work well with my colleagues and am a team player. I always have treats on my desk, and everyone seems to enjoy my chocolate.
I stand for
COMPASSIONATE CARE
