I stand for BALANCE

LPCH has offered me great opportunities for growth and balance. Staffing in the inpatient pharmacy, rounding with the infectious disease team, teaching pharmacy residents and students, lecturing outside of LPCH, attending national conferences…just to name a few.

The ability to have a balanced life is important to me. Besides work, I enjoy different activities. I love music, sports and traveling. I play the piano, the cello and I sing. I play badminton every week, and I like biking and hiking on the weekends. I like swimming in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.

Keeping work life balance can be challenging but you can do it too!

What brought you to Stanford?

I came to LPCH for an infectious disease fellowship. I was given the opportunity to stay on as a clinical pharmacist. I continue to accept challenges in my career and get opportunities to teach students and residents, and take important roles in different administration projects.

What do you enjoy most about working at Stanford?

I enjoy learning new things day to day and working with the best people here at LPCH and Stanford. We are always on cutting-edge technology and research to give our patients the best care. The hospital itself is a lovely place with artwork displays, classical live music series and situated adjacent to the beautiful City of Palo Alto.

What would you tell someone considering employment at Stanford?

You will never get bored working here at Packard. There are different areas of pharmacy: inpatient, outpatient, cancer center, and home care pharmacy. LPCH is also building new operation rooms and expanding its cardiovascular intensive care service. And we will be moving to a new inpatient pharmacy soon. Our compensation is competitive too!!

Outside of work, what do you enjoy or what is it about you personally that makes you a valuable member of the Stanford team?

I enjoy playing music, different sports and traveling to new places to learn different cultures and history. I play the cello in a youth orchestra and help mentoring the youth. I have been singing with the Voices of the Valley choir for 10 years and we practice every week. I traveled internationally to Spain, Italy, Korea, Switzerland, Japan, Thailand, Israel and China. I also enjoy hiking at different national parks and snowboarding at various states’ resorts.

I stand for
COMMITMENT
